Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has announced its acquisition of a 90.5% stake in premium beauty brand Minimalist, with plans to fully acquire the brand within two years. Founded in 2020 by Mohit and Rahul Yadav, Minimalist has rapidly grown into a leading digital-first skin care and hair care brand, crossing an Annual Revenue Run Rate (ARR) of INR 500 crore in just four years.
Known for its science-driven, transparent approach to beauty, Minimalist will join HUL’s Beauty & Wellbeing division. The existing leadership team will continue to operate the brand in collaboration with HUL, with the transaction expected to close by Q1 FY 2026. HUL CEO Rohit Jawa expressed excitement about the acquisition, calling it a strategic step to grow HUL’s premium beauty portfolio.
